7:30 — Derek Burkins

Vermont singer-songwriter Derek Burkins continues to capture praise and new listeners each time he takes the stage. Fluid guitar and banjo coupled with an authentic and emotive voice, his songs are thoughtful stories about powerful moments in life such as love, family, and coming home. You can hear more and find out about his solo album, “Ten Years and 29 Days” at: www.derekburkins.com

8:00 — The Poor Cousins

Naomi Morse (fiddle, voice) and Emmet Mc Gowan (guitar, voice) have been playing music together since they met in York, England in 2006. Based in Vermont, the duo performs various styles of roots music including American old time, New England, Irish, Quebecois, and Scottish as well as their own arrangements of classical and popular pieces.

At home on both sides of the Atlantic, the husband and wife duo combine intimate, nourishing songs and gutsy tunes in an easy-going style.  On fiddle, Naomi finds sounds both fiery and flowing, blending seamlessly with Emmet's rhythmic and elegant guitar back-up.

In addition to a regular performance schedule in New England, the duo have performed in many countries around the world, both together and separately. They traveled to Greece in August 2017 on a US State Department grant to perform and teach at the Kozani International Music Seminar.

9:00 — Andrew & Noah VanNorstrand

For the past twenty years ANDREW & NOAH VANNORSTRAND have been bringing their brand of original folk music to festival stages, concert halls, dance floors and living rooms all over North America and beyond.  As teenagers, they helped define a new generation of contra dance music with their family band The Great Bear Trio and even appeared on the nationally syndicated public radio program A Prairie Home Companion.  Since then they've established themselves as virtuosic multi-instrumentalists and insightful songwriters, drawing from a wide range of genres including Bluegrass and Appalachian, Celtic and Quebecois, Swing and Jazz.  Andrew and Noah are often on tour with progressive folk roots band The Faux Paws but since they're both now living in Vermont you can occasionally catch them performing locally as a duo, exploring their deep repertoire and love for American folk music.
